Cassie tossed and turned trying to get back to sleep but Thelma was farting in her sleep again. She thought about throwing something at her as she got out of bed.
"No more beans on toast for you."
Cassie noticed a mist gathering around Thelma. She walked over to get a closer look and found herself surrounded by it.
"What the bloody hell's going on here?"
Thelma looked at Cassie like she'd have the answer.
"You were farting in your sleep again."
"Oy!"
"I'll record it next time shall I."
Cassie and Thelma looked around. Their room wasn't there although Thelma was still in her bed.
Outside the castle Azazeal was standing by the tree in his usual spot smoking. He was waiting to make his move but started running when he could no longer sense Cassie's presence. He ran to her room and stood in the doorway.
"Oh shit they're gone. Now who will I be able to sacrifice so I don't turn into that big headed, ugly beast?"
The blue canary fell off the table and Azazeal felt like he was being ripped apart. Before he could say a word he went up in flames that consumed him in seconds.
"Cassie are we dreaming?"
"How should I know?"
A cloaked figure appeared before them.
"May the fart protect you."
The figure raised a hand which sent Cassie and Thelma along with the bed swirling around like they were going down the drain.
"What?"
Cassie sat up and found Thelma looking back at her.
"I had the strangest dream," they both blurted out at the same time.
Cassie noticed something on the floor. She turned on the light to find a scorch mark.
"Where did that come from?"
"Don't look at me. I don't have fire farts."
"So you admit it then?"
"I do not."
Thelma looked over at the canary sitting on the table.
"That blue thing gives me the creeps Cassie you should hock it."
"Yeah you're right I could use a few bucks. I don't know what possessed me to pick it up."
"And afterward we could shop and get something to eat."
